Poker

Poker is a gambling game that is played with five cards. It is usually played at casinos, but can also be played in a private home or club. The aim is to win the pot by having the highest hand.

A poker hand consists of five cards, which are ranked from Ace to ten. Some games require the use of wild cards, which are designed to take any suit.

A straight flush is a hand consisting of five cards in the same suit. When a player has a high straight flush, it is called a Royal Flush. A player can also have a low straight flush, which is a hand consisting of 5 cards in the same suit.

The player who is the first to put in a bet is the opener. If the opener does not call the bet, the turn passes to the next player. When the turn comes to the player, he can raise, check, or fold.

The first and second cards of the hand are faceup. When the dealer has dealt the first card wrong, the player has the right to re-do the deal.

If a player makes a bet, the other players have to match it. If no other player calls, the pot is won.

If the dealer has made a mistake in dealing the second card, the action begins with the player who has folded. During this phase, a player may choose to re-shuffle the pack.
